Refantazio Skills Question.
PLEASE HELP!! If you inherit a skill that is amplified by the same lineage being present, does the lineage update to the inheriting archetype or remain locked to the original archetype that it was inherited from?

you can inherit skills to from any archetype to any other archetype regardless of lineage.

lineage means the LINE of archetypes. for example MAGE and WIZARD are in the same lineage, meaning if you have a mage and wizard then you get that bonus, same for elemental master if you had all 3 then you would get the most variety while still getting those bonuses.

now whther or not the lineage changes is interesting as its not stated. BUT it would make sense.

if I inherit a skill that says "archetypes of the same lineage will boost this skill" onto a warrior when it was originally a healer skill, then It makes sense that the "same lineage" applies to the archetype that has the skill.

because then the skills effect stays consistent, if it were the other way around then the skill would only work in one direction when the point is to effect both characters of the same lineage.

I tested it. Can confirm that the inheritance does indeed update the skills lineage.

I was unsure because it would have been simple to overlook this and hard code the skills without the lineage target updating. I'm so glad that atlus thought of this and made the skills associated lineage a variable.

Testing --- inherit both heat up and diag slash to seeker then whack a few enemies with diag slash. now change rest of party to seeker and whack a few more got a decent avg dmg increase around 20%. 3 member party.
