Squeenix is also doing these prologue demo thing, which is a nice change.
The likes of Square or Capcom "discovering" that the PC platform not only exists, but it's actually super popular and viable has been great to see (It only took some of these companies 25 odd years..
Anyone know what this 2nd patch did by the way? Just more general performance improvements? I'm just using Special K which fixed pretty much everything on my end already.

Apparently PC's were... kind of non-existent in Japan up until recently.
Having a 'Family PC' or even just one as a gaming machine was unheard for whatever reason; then Covid forced a lot of the population to get Laptops/home computers for remote working and zoom etc. which inevitably led people to looking into things like Steam.
Whichever the case may be, I'm not complaining when it comes to seeing more stuff like this.
The PS5 was harder to find in Japan than anywhere else as Sony gave it lower stocks on release.
The PS5's prices are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
Only a few interesting exclusives made for Japanese audience on the PS5.
Lack of marketing effort from Sony compared to Nintendo.
Limited time exclusives like FFXVI have virtually no support from Sony here and it was all up their own editors.
Reasons are various but most of them points to a neglect by Sony. The companies selling PS5 in Japan are Capcom, Square Enix and Bandai Namco. Not Sony.
I can't wait to finally play Metaphor. I would have played it, no matter what, but the reviews are basically "It's the Persona of fantasy RPG" hype.
The year 2024 is basically the year of Atlus in gaming.
