Magic is canon, but I imagine most will do Strength because Atlus loves Strength.

In the demo, going magic works well since there's nobody else in the party that's really magic-focused. No clue how well it will work out long term.

Well, considering the main characters Archetype is magic-focused, and they're obviously gonna make the MC broken, I'd say it's a solid bet it'll work out well.

went strength with the mindset that phys has generally been better in the endgame than magic the past few smt and persona games. used strohl as the magic guy because his stat spread is pretty even. beat the dragon and guptauros on hard mode, so i haven't really regretted it.

Yeah I already got my fill of going 100+ str build in SMTV just recently.
Going to opt more for magic this time around.

Going with magic as that seem to be the best setup for the protagonist. I don't think strength is going to be that good since they split it into three category making it lose it's simple and straight-forward setup.

The Seeker Archtype eventually goes both P and M. So you can build what you want. I am hoping for some really nice M options though because as people have stated already, previous games have imo made M much weaker at end game.

Went Agi/Luck on my first playthrough, but this game seems like its going to be classic persona where you pretty much want to wipe out the enemy before they get a chance to act so I'm going full magic on my follow up playthrough. Might regret it since as others have said, most of the time in megaten str > mag in endgame.

I'm going all in on Magic. If everyone's right and Strength is king, I'll do it in Regicide Mode.

I will be going with magic. So I am using the seeker or mage archtypes. If I change my mind later, I may switch to a hybrid build if it lets me and focus on magic, strength and agility. For now I am putting most of my stat points into magic.

Tbh magic build seems fitting and kinda OP considering you already have two Warrior-ish characters.

Kinda sad because I want to be Warrior too :(

Is there anyway where the Seeker can inherit spells from the Mage?

Magic will as always be good early to midgame but once you get your crit passives and can reliably deal critical hits, STR will be destroying everything. I think a mix of STR/AGI and a little VIT here and there is what i will go with. I also think equip this time around will play a huge role in build effectiveness. You aready get accessories that give you +3 STR or Endurance. It will most likely snowball from there in terms of statbonuses on equip.

Okay thinking about a luck build now. Uh I'm not sure how linking works on here but: https://i.4cdn.org/v/1727926579811667.png

This seems to indicate that weapon damage matters FAR more than stats for damage. If thats the case I'll go full luck for more drops. Maybe some agi for dodge too.
