AUTOMATIC ATTRIBUTE ASSIGNATION FOR PARTY MEMBERS SHOULD BE OPTIONAL+RESPEC MECHANICS NEEDED
Why the attribute points when your party members level up are assigned automatically? i think is better to assign all attributes for all party members manually, but if you want to add the automatic assignation then make it optional. And also, add a respec mechanics, because i'm sure you will change archetype a lot of times, and for example, if you start as a warrior, if you change to mage, strenght is useless, and just attributes points wasted...

+1 on the respec
Kinda redundant to give you the freedom to change archetypes at will but restrict your stats

That's why I distribute the attribute points evenly, so that MC is equally bad in everything.

I see where you are coming from but the logic is that you are customizing your character by allocating points the way you want to but your teammates are their own people and so they spec themselves. Plus if you had complete control over everything like that you would completely break the games balance.

Only having control over your MC's stats is in line with other SMT games, so it seems fine to me. I do agree though that I hope there is a respec option.

Because unlike CRPG, the point of the other characters are that you manage their combat, not their growth.

Understandable, most persona fans don’t even know what SMT is.

Persona is a spin off of SMT.

i'm not even a Persona fan, never played Persona. i come more from final fantasy games and old turn based style games. I don't like persona bacause of the capture demons and use them in battle, it feels to me pokemony and i don't like that kind of game.

Funny you should say that because SMT was a Japanese only franchise for the longest time, and it actually came out before Pokemon did. Pokemon is actually a more kid friendly take on the idea. SMT pretty much invented the monster collecting style of RPG. And you don’t capture them, You talk to them and make deals and bargains to recruit them or make them leave you alone. So in a way SMT was also the first video game that allowed you to actually talk your way out of situations. Way before things like Undertale did.

That doesn't make sense. The party members have no other means to be distinguished from each-other other than their stats. Even the equipment revolves around Archetypes.

This, but i exclude luck as it tends to be somewhat broken or just not viable in Atlus games (except for SMT IV).

They all seem to have different stat growth perimeters. So while it’s still RNG, it’s atleast RNG that’s manipulated by a line of code to sway a certain way.

Well the archetypes add their stats to yours and are also pre-determined.
