Time limit
As far as you know, the main story revolves around a time limit?

It's something that worries me a lot, because it means having the anxiety of doing things around since you're in a hurry because after a certain amount of time the main story has to be finished.

I understand the sense of time for plot reasons, but timed games put me in a hurry that I wouldn't want to have, especially in "open world" games, let's say..

Because I see that even secondary missions can be timed..

You never played a persona game before? What you can do is just miss the deadline, get a game over, and then you go to a soft ng+ and you carry over most things.

If you have OCD and want to max everything first playthrough, then you might need a guide. Otherwise, you can play however you want, and get guaranteed 100% on ng+

Don't worry. You can basically just day 1 or day 2-3 to cleared the deadline story quest and have plenty of time spare for doing anything you want.

You *will* have to miss things while playing, even with a guide
Here's the director's comment, taken from an interview by Gamespot

According to Hashino, dungeons will play a major role in Metaphor: ReFantazio. But don't expect to see all of them in one playthrough. Compared to the more-linear timelines found in Persona, Metaphor offers a bit more freedom at the cost of having to make hard choices and not only how you spend your time, but where.

"Imagine if you go on vacation," Hashino explained. "You go to a city and you have 10 places listed on your travel log. Some of these might take two days to enjoy, whereas others might take half a day. Some might require a guide or more preparations, others might be a bit more safe. But you can't do it all.

"In this game, you travel a lot, and when you get to your destinations, you have a choice of multiple dungeons you can do. And all these dungeons have different difficulty levels as well, so it's kind of up to you on how you choose to spend your time. In this way, there's a lot more freedom"

its not a time limit so much as a turn limit, since days dont pass based on time but instead on what big tasks you choose to use them for, so its more of a strategy element than a time management one

That is a classic Persona experience my friend. My first game was Persona 5 and i struggled making time for all the confidants. Then i played P5R knowing what to do i oneshot all palaces, fulled all confidants and still had leftover time.
Based on my previous Persona experiences I suggest clear whole dungeon in one night if game lets you. Don't spend all your SP early and bring SP items. Farm on easy monsters if fights are hard.
Your followers not gonna be available all days to upgrade their social link. So take notes on which days they are available if one has only 2 days and other has 4 prioritize the 2 day one.

oooor just play the game on easy mode ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
