Why do my aussie brothers and sisters have such crazy prices? It's not like they have to go over treacherous waters or the outback to get the product to you, its flippin digital!

The price is 70$ USD in North Africa, where the average monthly salary is around 500$!!! Atlus lost their mind, even a AAAA like Monster Hunter Wild is 52.49$.

Its a nice deal, you even get a poor performance as a bonus.

So, shop around?

PC is an open market with over fifty odd stores competing and selling the game on sale.

I had a look and already there's a copy on gamebillet for AUS: 88.08 dollars, I swear, people don't know how to internet anymore.

There are always worse situations:

look at the prices in underdeveloped countries where there are 80% taxes on consumption and people still pay absurd fees to buy games...

Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse, so to speak...

Yes I get it. Except you have to agree that these sites are very legally grey and there's some risk in purchasing keys or anything from these sites. Alot of people don't use these sites for that very reason for safety etc.

Humble bundle and fanatical are very reputable sites and you can get a pretty good discount without the risk but if you don't feel safe with sites like that then steams the best route.

Yeah agreed that humble bundle is reputable and safe though it usually takes a while before any real discounts get applied to games that just come out. I personally have and will continue to buy games outside of steam just cos it's cheaper. But the main thing is how games these days are incredibly overcharged in Australia. Even the discounted prices on key shops are the prices that's SHOULD'VE been the retail price on steam. And you know for sure that the majority of the money isn't even going to the people and developers that have hands on in actually making the game, but the people at the top. That's my issue I guess haha I'm already paying a more than premium price (thats constantly om the incline) but the majority of it isn't even going to the actual devs haha
