Was there a problem with performance before?

The same performance problem, the game runs well, but when you get to the desert area (2) the game runs between 60 and 40 fps

Quite a lot of people did have problems. Everyone with both a CPU+GPU combo and a dedicated GPU had big problems since the game always uses the CPU+GPU combo instead of the dedicated one. Also when tabbing out. If you have prompts set to Auto it will switch from what ever controller you use to mouse/keyboard and not switch back. Those are some problems I know of.

Did my usual tests and I'm not noticing anything different since the patch.

I *think* I'm getting better performance? The last place I had my save wasn't really that problematic for me anyway, but I was able to put the texture quality to high and up the render scale slightly while still pulling 144fps.

(Using DXVK also though and it sort of stalled and felt like the game had crashed when I launched it for the first time, not sure if there's a conflict)

Would be interested to see Deck performance though.
I never bothered downloading it on mine until now and it's going to take hours :winter2019sadsnowman:

I have a 2080 ti which is equivalent to a 3070, the recommended requirements for 60 fps is 970, and in the desert area putting the game on low or high makes no difference, the fps cannot be kept stable

Anyway to see the patch-notes? to See what they acually added/changed/done?
Electric Gigolo Sep 28, 2024 @ 6:57am
What did this do? I've just tested it. There is NO difference in performance. The desert area will not go to 60FPS, no matter what setting. There are still areas of the city that tanks the framerate.

RTX 4060
Ryzen 5 3600
32GB Ram
2TB SDD
Windows 11

Same, for you and for me and for many people

I started the update and it installed the demo all over again on a different drive, wtf

Atlus don't do good patch notes. At best we will get "fixed things that were not working as intended thank you for your patience".
Nephilgrim Sep 28, 2024 @ 7:08am
Same performance
Same low volume

Edit: For those on consoles... do you feel sub-60 frames on the desert too?
Maybe i'm already biased but on Series X I think I feel frame dips too.

I just tried with the patch and the desert area seems smooth to me now. No frame drop observed or anything. It seems to have fixed issues on my end.
