Are you sceptic to buy the full game after playing the demo?
I waited for this quite some time but playing the demo now does not pull me in as much as SMT-V, Nocturne or the Persona titles did.

I like the music, graphics and gameplay, voice acting, but the story and setting do little for me. The graphical violence against humanoids in the first 30 minutes isn't something i expected to see in an Atlus game so frequently and intense. It certainly fits the setting, but i wonder if it would hurt the game to leave some of that to your imagination.

Performance was ok for me and i don't think Atlus games outside of Persona necessarily need a whole lot of romance options, especially in a harsh setting like that, but i understand if that's an unpopular opinion.

Was there a point in the game where you could make the decision to buy or pass?

It's boring. It tries to pass itself off as new but it's the same gameplay as always only with some extremely light action elements because they are too afraid to commit to anything different. It's just another persona game, not enough about it strays from the formula to be considered anything else. Demo is most likely because they aren't confident in their own work either and if they don't even think it's good........

They are just trying to experiment like FF7 remake did and the new DQ is supposedly going to do if we ever get it. I'm more interested in what if anything comes from all this, and that's not saying a lot.

Wait... you think they released a demo because they aren't confident in their own work?? did i read that right?

If they aren't confident the last thing they would want to do is drop a demo, they would not show anything but instead they dropped the first 5 hours or more of the game for free. If that's not confidence then i don't know what is.

It just sounds like you don't like turn-based RPGs and really shouldn't be in this thread. I have nothing against not liking the game, but nothing you said makes sense and you've had zero rational arguments.
The demo actually pushed me into thinking of getting it again, although I am still going to wait to see if the UW mod improves (namely improving the UI situation), since Atlus still not having UW support is a sticking point for me.

Whelp, you obviously have never played any Atlus games. Maybe just Persona 5 and then conveniently forget the underage rape and suicide in the first story arc.

Atlus' games are still pretty much childish unfortunately, but as far as JRPGs go, they are easily among the darkest and are known specifically for that. Again, "dark" for JRPGs which isn't saying much, but still.
Whelp, if you can check my Steam account you will see that i not only own many Atlus titles but finished them all (including unpopular ones like Soul Hackers 2). My first game was Nocturne 2006 on PS2 and i don't know the Atlus titles you played, but i didn't see people get hanged with other people cheering next to it in the past ~20 years or so.
In Nocturne people just dissolve (Hijiri) or vanish, but they don't get executed. Same goes for Persona. Dead, certainly, but not in that kind of way. SMT V same, die but not executed. DDS1 and DDS2 again die, but not executed.
Now name the titles you played where characters get that kind of gruesome treatment with cheering next to it. Also i don't remember many of your teammates get killed in the 1st hour of the game. And you say i don't know what i'm talking about? You trollin'?

I already mentioned one. Persona 3 almost got banned and had a lot of controversy for the sucicide motif of kids killing themselves as a normal ability. There are mangled bodies being hung up as the MAIN PLOT POINT for Persona 4. Digital Devil Saga involves cannibalism as a means for power and you have to do it too, and people will eat their friends and former allies to survive, sometimes alive, and some come to enjoy it.

Like, okay. So it's even worse. You DID play Atlus' games and are just delusional. As far as dark goes, Metaphor's opening isn't even the worst offender for Atlus. I hope it gets much worse, I want a gritty story.

Not from a gray market website that allkey shop has , I just checked 40 euro and when I click on the 40 euro one it's actually 59 euro ,second one is 48 euro , these are gray market website ,instant ,cd keys are graymarket too but sometimes I buy from them Isthereanydeal website has only official key resellers .
MMOGA 43€ at checkout, Kinguin 43€ at checkout. I bought numerous keys on both shops and all activated on Steam. If you don't feel comfortable with that, i understand, but i don't think paying more money at an official reseller only helps the developer, it also helps the keyshop and paypal.

Considering this one and other games will eventually come to Game Pass, which is 10€ a month, i really don't see myself spending 60 or 70€ on new games anymore, but 40 is ok.

They work, it's just a lot of people hate buying from grey markets. Many devs have even said they would prefer you pirate their game over that, because 99% they don't even see a dime and all you do is fund unethical and at times criminal industries.

You can't be serious. P3 controversy over suicide which did in fact never happen is on par with someone actually being hanged? P4 you don't see anyone getting killed. I was talking about the act, not the result. And in DDS you don't see anyone getting eaten, that's why i said in the first post and i quote "i wonder if it would hurt the game to leave some of that to your imagination." - and this is what it was like in DDS, and not - and let me quote myself again - "graphical violence".

Do you only read the words or do you also try to understand them?

You don't see anyone killed in metaphor either, it's an off-screen hanging ONCE. What are you literally talking about?

Do you only read the words or do you also try to understand them?

Follow your own advice and try again.

I recall 1 or 2 people from very small studios saying that 5 years ago. If you google it, you'll also find all or most of the results are from 2019 and refer to G2A with a very specific situation, and 1 of them also said
"developers were partly responsible for some of the scams on its site because of the thousands of free keys" they had created for giveaways."

We won't know the full truth unless we're in the industry i guess.

No we definitely do. A couple of stabbings and a throat slitting.

How is a developer giving away thousands of free keys--which is never going to be a major AAA publisher--having those keys be abused and resold, which is usually against these giveaways' policies, their fault?

We do know the full truth lmao. Stop smoking the weed.

Yes, typical violence. We see that in other atlus games too. I thought he was talking about graphic violence that peope might have a problem with--hence his obsession with the hanging which isn't shown just like the cannibalism isn't explicitedly shown in DDS. And the throat slit wasn't graphic, it was censored.

This isn't really debatable. If an offscreen hanging shocked you, you don't play atlus games. The state of the mangled bodies in p4 was worse, etc.

This. And it was only the demo of the first 5 hours of the game.
