How to defeat the dragon baby on hard
some people might think this isnt possible, or really hard. its actually pretty simple and I will explain how I did it first try.

I had the main character and Grius both as MAGE, and left Strohl as a warrior.
started the battle with our mages in the back row and strohl up front.

basically almost ALWAYS have the mages spam ice magic as a weakness so you can do damage while getting more turns, and ONLY have strohl attack using diagonal slash

this part is important since the battle is semi long for early game and the dragon baby does decent dmg, MAKE SURE to have 5-10 100HP heal medicines or better, and or as many fairy dusts as you can find.

Strohl and main character can use these to top off the parties health before the dragon gets another turn if needed

basically swap between DPS ice magic diagonal slashing the dragon to healing at the end of your round when need be in order to maintain the fight.

if you are lucky the dragon might miss a hit or you might crit with Strohl, this will make the fight a lot easier but its pure RNG.

if you happen to get unlucky with crits from the dragon or something and think the fight wont end well, just restart using L3 or the corresponding keybind.

overall this doesnt seem very possible unless you have 2 mages in the backrow and someone to tank front row. ice magic is the MUST have for this fight

lastly its really good XP for early on, TONS of MAG and some really decent items from it so def dont pass it up.

i beaten the dragon on hard with 3 warriors as they have fire resist, but i grinded and stockpiled quite a lot of medicines for a lengthy fight

Yeah I uh, just had them both as Warriors and Will as a Mage.
Stayed in the back line, kept up healing, worked fine. Damage output was low enough to heal off for most cases

2 mages in back 1 warrior in front, few loops of grind to get faerie dust from the moths if needed. cant even call it a boss

Weird, I did it with the warrior, mage and the first unlock (forgot the name) mage and warrior for damage and blocked on its fireball spells since it was patterned and not random, used a load of my healing items I was stocking but managed it well even though I didn't farm at all at that point. Was super wack but worth the item waste for the weapon so didn't reload the save lmao

2 mages in back, warrior front, by that point you SHOULD have the item that causes DEF DOWN (i think?) use that when the dragon hits the middle of his health bar and it should be easy sailing, stock up on medicines as well
