Turn off motion blur?
Can't you take a single step in this game without going completely blurry? it looks like nothing can be done about it and this effect cannot be turned off. So I thank you, but I find it unplayable.

Hopefully in the INI file. I did this with Revenge of the Seven and it’s so good now :).

What kind of video game has no motion blur setting in 2024?!
PewPew 26 SEP 2024 a las 13:07
Lemme know if you found it. My biggest negative right now, next to the sound issues.

Yes, I hope we can turn it off. I also want to turn off the little grunt the main character makes every time he starts moving.

the blur during dash is giving me motion sickness, i hope we can turn it off too

i have to settle with normal walking throughout my demo

I noticed the blur only occurs when you sprint so I just run around at normal speed. Thankfully it doesn't feel too slow.

Japanese game devs are weird about their PC ports. They have this weird obsession of absolutely controlling every single aspects of everything, and judge that to be more important than accessibility needs such as:

- Disabling motion blur
- Disabling chromatic abberations
- Disabling grain
- Changing FoV
- Removing shake
- etc

I mean, it's one thing to say "Hey, we did not intend the game to look this way, if you do this, please understand that this might make it look weird in some scenes" - I can't remember the game, but there was one that did that with its FoV-slider, it had one but warned you that in some scenes you might see or not see something different than intended by the devs.

But fair enough, they still gave you the option. But plenty game devs don't, in particular japanese ones. :(

Does the dash/sprint even go faster than normal run? Reminds me of dragon age origins where they just added the wind 'effects' to make it seem like you were going faster when you actually weren't.

It worked much better in P5 (where it was only in dungeons not in normal map) as that game was mostly small corridors. In big open spaces this looks terrible with the massive motion blur.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one bothered by this. The game seems great but that motion blur setting actively detracts from the experience. Zero immersion possible in its current state while dashing.

There is a solution. It's a mod named MetaphorFix. You should download it, extract to the game directory and set "[Disable Dash Blur] Enabled = true" in MetaphorFix.ini file. And no more annoying blur when you dash\sprint!

I got this on PS5 and wish I got it on Steam with the motionblur mods.

I love the game, but dashing in town blurs everything so badly it’s hard to see and then the dash lines, I feel like I can’t enjoy exploring. I don’t dash but the aliasing problems are quite significant. Thankfully I find the battles look amazing and love the UI and music.
