The safe rooms don't heal, limited ability to regain MP and limiting grinding?
I find it kinda odd that they only point of the safe rooms is to save. They don't let you rest and give you back at least a little HP and MP. I have found that you can't really grind, the mods don't respawn and you can't really get more MP with having very little MP regen items. Maybe that is a choice, but it sucks.

Survival horror element, nice.

There does seem to be a minor enemy respawn. In the first room after the first boss fight in the mine some of the wolves and slimes reappear when you leave and re-enter the area, but the snakes never do.

It's like Persona. SP is meant to be a resource you have to conserve as you make your way through the dungeon and it can be difficult to do everything there is to do in a dungeon in one day as a result.

I would recommend trying brawlers + healer when needed to top up health. Or you can just use brawlers and buy medicines since they're cheap. Always go for the advantageous attack as you can usually clear out most mobs without needing to use spells this way. Save the spells for bigger enemies and bosses.

The vast majority of enemies in the first major dungeon are weak to light or to striking attacks, so you can also use healer's mace to get press turns if you want.

If so, great.

Having easy access to infinite SP makes RPG gameplay too easy. Going through a dungeon should be a test of endurance.

OK there is a way to restore MP. Make the main character a mage. When he's a mage he gets a hero skill that when you kill enemies in overworld combat or stun them your whole team restores mp. As I said previously weak enemies do seem to have some respawn so technically you can have infinite MP.

The game gives you a lot of quality of life features. They even let you respawn where you died and redo fights if you feel you made a wrong move. That’s basically cheating, my friend. There should be at least some element of challenge, right? Otherwise, the game becomes automatic and plays itself. The challenge here is learning how to manage your MP and equipment. I wish you knew how hard and brutal some old RPGs were; some would make you lose all your equipment, while others would restart the entire game if you lost. While you seem frustrated over a little MP…

Someone new to the series, never played persona. I found running out of mana pretty much end gaming for me. I could not beat mobs because i had zero mana. I didn't know about using mage on ur main to gain mana back as i wasn't even using mage in my setup.

Needing to change ur setup to mage or brawler just to be able to not hit a mp brick wall feels awful and im not a fan. I agree rest room should at least restore half ur hp/mp so you have something in the tank. The last part of the demo by the time i got to the boss i had to put it down from hard to easy, just to beat it because only one person had mp left to actually deal any dmg. I really hated this because up until that point i had been playing on hard and it felt just right.

Sounds like poor planning and crippling skill issue.

Managing your stamina/mana is one of the central components of Persona and the SMT games in general. The intent is that if you find yourself in a situation where you really can't proceed, you should retreat, prepare, and try again another day.

its a demo. I think there will be more items for that in the full game. and worst case scenario WeMod FTW

MP restorables will be buyable most likely but expensive just like in other Persona games. As mentioned the mage passive makes a great way to game the system and farm MP back as well.

Typically in Atlus games you save MP items for major fights as they tend to be quite expensive.

you can easily get near infinite mp/sp in the game just have to use the archetypes that restore mp/sp on over world kills and you can farm a place almost indefinitely if you use zoning to reload the dungeon.

It's deliberate, you're not supposed to easily barrel through every dungeon in one go. They wouldn't bother making the deadline ten days if you could do it in one.

problem with that is, other then the dungeons that force you out, in Persona you can clear them in one attempt. Assuming good mp and item management. P3 used to force you out with tiredness mechanic. But reload been clearing all available floors in one attempt each time. Did the same with p4 and what ive done in p5 royal too. and those give you quite a few days to clear.
