if you just LOST skill points for engaging in the gameplay that would be a massive oversight and stupid.
in stat allocation on level up it goes into double digits so im assuming it probably holds onto skillpoints until you level up in a turn based battle and gives you them all at once since being forced to assign skill points when you are avoiding turn based combat would be counter intuitive.
this would be nice to know though. atleast a pop-up explaining it or something.
If you go to party > Protagonist > details
The game will tell you, that you have points to allocate, and will warn you when you are leaving. I played through the majority of the demo without allocating stats cause I was contemplating on my build and I went here by accident.
