Why is it so laggy? Is it just because it's a demo?

I played Persona 3 Reload at 200% render scale with all settings on high, all good with stable 60 fps. Metaphor defaults to this, but here my FPS is suffering. I just want to ask, is this game running on the same engine as Persona 3 Reload or a higher one? Why is this happening?

Update: I'm so st*pid. I fixed my problem, it'll probably help you guys too. I found out that metaphor was using my IGPU intead of my dedicated gpu in my AMD metrics, so I went to "setting>system>display>graphics"

You can add custom apps there by browsing the .exe file of this game at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Metaphor ReFantazio Demo" and choose the specific gpu.

Now my game runs at stable 60 fps.

Not even an FPS issue for me, the game just won't stop stuttering with my 2080-9770k combo on any setting. Standing in place and just rotating the camera makes it stutter in 180-degree turn intervals, the demo is pretty much unplayable.

Yeah, I don't get it. They did not properly optimize this demo for pc. I tested the ps5 demo version and it looks and runs great. How is it that my pc can run Space Marine 2 buttery smooth with max settings but on default settings I can't run Metaphor at a stable 60fps.

By default, the resolution is set to 125%. Changed it to 100%, and I have no issues.

This demo doesn't automatically pick discreet gpu. I was getting 10 FPS and have to manually select nvidia gpu only from the nvidia control panel. Now its 70+ on 200%. They need to fix this.
