Complaint about the graphical UI and story demo so far
Hopefully the full release changes a few things; the game is fun overall but a few complaints:
1) The story pacing feels rushed, and it feel like it tries to quickly reach that "awaken"scene too quickly. That particular scene should have been more dragged out, and the reason behind the character reaching that desire should have been deeper. It just felt very artificial for him to awaken the power that early. Didnt feel like there was enough character build up for me to cheer my protagonist or to want to save his friend.
2) The UI is.... way, way too much. I feel like I see way too many things in the screen: lines, flying dust specs, ui colors, apparitions, monster attacks, choice changes, everything does way too much. You never get to see too cleanly and clearly everything thats going on and therefore takes away the enjoyment of seeing the game, which has a really good style.

Anyways, maybe this is due to it being a demo so hopefully the full game addresses this, but if this two things are cleaned up a bit, its looking good.

Definitely agree on 2. The UI is moving constantly no matter what you're doing or where you are. This a little niff when exploring but when in dialogue it makes reading the dialogue box pretty difficult, almost feels like an ADHD simulator.

If it could at least be slowed down it would be more bearable.

I think the story is rushed, because of complains about the prologue for persona games. Personaly I would have prefered to walk around town learn about the races, but you cant have anything.

The menu UI definitely feels like they took the praise for Persona 5's menus and said 'dial it up to 11.' Why are the options so absolutely massive?

It seems as though they are trying to get people to the "meat" of the game faster and then backfilling the needed exposition with flashbacks.

It definitely feels a little disjointed at first, that said once its in full swing the pacing smooths out considerably.

As mush as people love Persona 5 (and Persona 4) there were complains about how long the introductory scenes drag out. And to be fair it takes like 2ish hours to go from beginning of the game to infiltrating Kamoshida's Castle. And likewise with Persona 4 and the first dungeon, though its a tad quicker.

I think they just took those complaints too seriously as people dont mind the slower build up. But I see why they did it.

I agree with the UI. It's far too busy to a point where it's distracting and tough on the eyes. We use these menus quite a lot. I had a headache today from playing it.
