Atlus' games in general are kind of ugly at their native resolution, Idk what kind of anti-aliasing method they use, but its pretty bad. That's why they always have a rendering scale setting. Set it to 150% or more and you're good.

Yeah, I'm playing at 1080p 200% here too, it doesn't look too bad, but you're right, its worse than Persona 5's. AMD's sharpening filter helps though

I know, but being a PC gamer, eventually you get used to companies being lazy about PC ports lol. I'd rather just find a workaround instead of waiting for them to fix it.

1440P 200%, looks fine.

Refusing to buy a game because of aliasing is ridiculous. Games aren't all about how good their graphics are. Some of the greatest games of all time have mediocre graphics.

1440p 150% render looks perfectly fine for me

this isnt "just aliasing" its a rediculous new level level of aliasing, not complaining about it makes you part of the problem.

150% at 1440p its almost 4k internal resolution, now games need to ba played in 4k to have decent graphics? thats new

I agree, but I don't think this is about graphics specifically. Aliasing is about image quality, I refused to play Red Dead 2 until I got a GPU capable of running it with 1.5 res scale because at regular 1080p the game looked like a myopia simulator from how blurry it was. The graphics itself are gorgeous ofc, but the image quality is ass. Its a similar issue with Re:Fantazio, having simplistic graphics is not an issue at all (and no one expects anything fancy from Atlus games anyway because they're more about aesthetics), but the game does shimmer a lot on 100% res scale.

Honestly not noticed the aliasing being any worse than most games, but may be heavily resolution-based. For some the reason the game didn't allow me to choose 4k as my resolution, so I'm playing at 1440P, but with 200% render resolution, and it looks fine to me.

At 200% scaling and 1440p it's fine.
Well, except for the fact that performance is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because the game won't utilize neither the CPU nor the GPU :(

The aliasing seriously makes this game look like it came out on the PS3, it's shocking. The buildings in the background of the city make my eyes bleed
zuppaclub Sep 25, 2024 @ 2:51pm
agreed with everyone, set it to 200% , 100% reso was bad. :steamfacepalm:

Why are people playing at 1080p in 2024?
