Performance
How's performance for everyone else?
Looking out over the first big open area I drop from 144fps to 50, 4k and 1080p have the same performance for me.

This is ass, my most anticipated game of the whole year runs like ♥♥♥♥... Just end me already.

god i wish atlus games had actual antialiasing instead of just downsampling

I've tried every setting possible and I'm having crappy performance with a RTX4080, even with everything on its lower setting. Something is badly capped.

50 fps in the first big open area and in town
I'm on Ultra and 200% resolution (1080p screen)
It's a bit low but the game doesn't stutter at all so it's definitely ok for me (denuvo probably doesn't help)
Otherwise I am most of the time in +60fps.
We will have to see if the day one patch fixes the problem a little

Performance it's strange righ now
40 fps on the desert(with only 56% gpu usage), but 60 on the city on 1080p 100%res
Gennesis Sep 25, 2024 @ 10:38am
7800x3d
4070Sti
rendering scale 125%
1440p getting 140-165 fps
Sometimes the fps gets stuck on 60
for no reason have to restart.

Getting awful performance, and a big stutter every second in a rhythm of actually ever second.

Other games had this same stutter and usually the issue is constantly scanning for a controller, but I'm using a controller for the game so it shouldn't be doing that.

getting crazy fluctuating FPS on a 9700k & a 2080 Super. Can't even hit 60 fps consistently due to all this.

locked 60fps and vsync 1080p highest settings (100% scale), not a single drop

RX 6600
Ryzen 5 5500
16gb 3200mhz

Intel i5 11400F
GTX 3070
16GB RAM
1440p Resolution
144fps cap

Maxxed everything out thinking it would run like P5R cause same engine. Dropped from 144p to around 45fps when getting in-game in the desert. Turned off AO and lowered Res scaling to 100%, only about 10fps increase.

When entering the city, started at 50fps before dropping to below 30 talking to the Igniter Merchantress.

Anyone got ideas on how to get better performance out of this game?

Deck performance got slightly better when I switched to windowed mode for some reason.

Im having GPU utilization issues, its only using 60% of my 1080ti then the game drops frames from 60fps+ to 30fps in the second zone of the open world

Got a 4070TI and can confirm that in the deser area it drops to 40'ish. Setting the graphcis setting only changes resolution scaling for some reason? Not sure if it does anything else, would be retarded if the actual graphics are tied to screen resolution but its a japanese game and they are notoriously bad when it comes to PC ports so I would expect this to be the case. After that first area, the game seems to run at 90+ fps for the most part but boy does it look dated af, not seeing anything remotely demanding, looks exactly as something from 10 years ago. As for the rest of the game, dunno, nice music, but the first dungeon which should impress, was kinda lame. Persona made a far superior impression. Eh, might wait for a sale.

I can't play; it takes forever to get to the menus, to start the game, and everything barely moves. It keeps stuttering endlessly, and the game isn't running properly here. It also keeps showing a "controller disconnected" message, even though it's connected.

My PC specs are:

RX 6600 CLD 8G
32GB RAM
Ryzen 5 5600G

and my CPU and GPU have barely any usage...

They are probably still need to do some fixing with performance.

I was messing with graphical settings in the desert area and while I was switching resolution scaling and frame cap my performance would either drop drastically to like 30 fps or be fine at 120, but once you are out of the desert rest of the game seems fine or if I dont mess with the settings in the desert it stabilises itself after a while.

I am running:
5950x
7900xtx
1440p

Resolution scaling at 150% and everything else maxed out at 120 fps.

Just wanted to add I am only Linux. Here is screenshot of the desert area at 120fps 150 resolution.

If I bump the resolution scaling to 200% the gpu is just at its edge hitting 98 utilisation, and can drop frames occasionally.

Yeah I got the same issue
RTX 4070 ti super
Ryzen 7 7800x3D
32GB DDR5 Ram
Game runs anything but smooth even on low settings and feels like it stutters every other second
both GPU and CPU are also barely utilized so it's definitely not a hardware thing
