It's a more challenging difficulty than hard and the listed differences are below
-3x damage taken from enemies hitting your weaknesses
-Your party is more likely to be proc'ed with anxiety
-The rewind feature is completely removed
-25% more damage taken from enemies (compared to hard)
-Outgoing damage by your party reduced by 20% (same as hard)
I started my save file with regicide from the start and i can say it will beat your ass if your not familiar with press turn style combat, I only have 17 hours clocked in and my death toll is somewhere around 120 which is more than my total death count on dark souls 2 and 3 combined.
Absolutely f*****g not.
You're going to get wrecked.
Even more so if you're a completionist, as some late game sidequests are really hard even in normal difficulty, you'll basically never be able to do them ever. Unless you're an absolute expert in the genre but even then, I have my doubts.
