Dragon in Nord Mines

Can you come back to this area down the road and fight it then? I mistakingly thought fighting it would be suicide but later on I read that it's just a challenging fight and not impossible at this point in the game. Is the treasure just straight up gone? Thinking of reverting back a save. I hate missable ♥♥♥♥ like this when the game really *hints* to you to avoid it. I thought the treasure was just a tease for later.

I'm about 28 hours in and haven't been given the option to go back to either the fort or the mines. All you're really missing out on though is a fire elemental two-handed sword. It's strong but not strong enough to merit winding back the clock if it'd put you back several hours.

Can't not return, that I'm aware of. The bridge collapses. Would recommend trying to get ice chunks off the vendor to make it easier. I saw the dragon as a challenge when the demo came out and kept optimizing what I could until I beat him. The treasure is semi worth if depending on how far along you are.

I would add that the church boost does keep the weapon itself relevant for a bit compared to other weapons available for the weapon type. But I agree, it may not be worth it if you are hours past it. Unless you are a collector type like I kind of am in some games.

Thankfully I had a save at that cave before the merchant and the ♥♥♥♥ bird. Really just an hour back so not as bad as I thought. I'll give it a shot but its good to know that there are likely things that's missable and i should just keep alot of saves.

Oh, in this case I personally would go for it. As the weapon is decent and you'll find it can be boosted again unlike the weapons available. I've been doing the same and keeping multiple saves since playing the demo. It let me see different portions of the game and experiment with the time given. So I was already in the habit.

final version’s got auto-ta and firm stance, both of which tend to be big for optimization.

its more than possible on hard within your first encounter with it. Id suggest just fighting it, since the early XP and items are useful early on and really wont be worth the effort later.
