1.It has been in development hell, as it was origionally announced in 2016, and so alot of money was spent purely because it took so long.
2.It is a 70 Hour JRPG and atlus may feel that reasonable to have it cost as much as Persona 3 Reload.
3. Atlus knows people will buy it regardless if it was 60 or 70.
this ain't the consumers problem if it had development issues. How the hell is that a justification for these ps2 visuals? People make so many ludicrous excuses these days it pains my brain.
Just go and play one of your 100 games then Elon
Man it has to suck caring about how things look so much.
You can already tell by the art style that this wasn't supposed to be some hyper realistic game. Get over it already.
The game is aesthetically pleasing and great to look at . I feel sorry for anyone romantic in your life jeez.
Gameplay > visuals any day my friends
The reason they increased MSRP after DECADES, they said, is that game development and distribution is getting more expensive.
Never mind Steam sells virtually without a physical logistics and consoles are removing the disc drives, most devs now uses Unreal, which makes game development so much faster and easier. Anyone in their basement can make AAA looking games.
This game looks like it's using the same engine they used to make PSP games lol, very little went into development of the tech and from the looks of it all they did was make their UI louder.
They're not paying Epic for Unreal tech to make a presentable game for this decade, but they're paying I think millions a month to Denuvo for adding nothing of value, heck historically Denovo makes games run like ass. Thats where their priorities are.
I personally don't regret putting down the money for this. It's quite fun and a joy to play. And "Stylistically" this game is pure Interface Design porn which is awesome!
