We have real time raytracing and many other wonders for computer graphics, I didn't bought a rtx 4090 just to play a game that Barely uses 2% of it and it cost 100 dollars.

There are many and cheapers options if I wanted to play an anime visual novel lol.

This game is a scam, the budget is probably low than any modern AAA yet they want to charge like it's a modern big budget game

I do dislike when a game is poorly optimized though. Shows signs of incompetent developers. "Because it runs on a 4090, it's good enough" type of development logic.

Undertale is a pixel game and is (well was it´s 10 year old game now) insanely popular.

There is photorealism, and then there´s art choice. It´s obvious Metaphor gives heavy value to art.

As a budget-PC owner I appreciate that this game's engine runs perfectly at the highest settings. The pricier your computer, the higher your standards, I guess.

Good Art style trumps all. Metaphor has a pretty great artstyle approach - Most obvious with the menu design.

Although I will say that the female models are a bit of a downgrade from Shin Megami Tensei 5...

I have only 1 major complaint, an RPG where gear choice and customisation is practically non existent. If you want to change your look you must to pay (real world money), and receive some bloody jarringly average looking school outfit.
