Question on outfits
I bought the dlc with the samurai outfits because I dont like the canon clothes of the MC. However if you equip it, it is only worn in the dungeons and battles. As soon as a cutscene starts the clothes change back to the canon ones. This also happens when you are running around in the city for example.

To sum it up: Wearing outfits sucks, because it switches all the time and feels very unimmersive. Why buy the outfits if most of the time you cant even see them? Is this intended to work like this?

Annoyingly, Persona 5 is the same way and it requires mods to fix.

But you probably should have known about this.

yes in 2024 it's ridiculous

Yeah I just tried them and this sucks. Makes me want to refund the DLC.

How? It's not advertised on the DLC page. And this game doesn't normally differentiate between dungeon costumes and "everyday" outfits the way P5 does.

Feel this need to change.
I want my Etrian Odyssey armors...

Also, I assume the music that plays in battle depends on what outfit you're wearing? No way to separately change the music and costumes the way you could with the P5 DLC for instance?

Most Persona games I've played behaved in the same way so I'm used to it. I got the collectors edition so I just see it as a bonus. I'm sure someone will make mods at some point to enable them all the time. I do wish they would either build in a setting or allow for all the time use. I think it stems from some persona games where the characters would wear different outfits based on the day. School uniform, weekend clothes, ect.

Wow I hadn't realized this was a feature until you mentioned it. I was wondering why my music changed and didn't connect the dots yet. It does appear you have to change the outfits then to change the music. But, it seems you are right. I don't see any settings to change battle themes like they had in P3R for example.

really bad developer decision (nobody likes this intentional choice)

Yep, refunding anniversary edition for now and I'll buy the non-DLC edition. If they fix this I might pick up the DLC again.

they wont let you refund the DLC because its "the same as the actual game" like sure I put 5 hours into the game but I JUST bought the dlc. like let me refund it. 6$ for an outfit I can only wear 25% of the time that ALSO changes the game music against my will is stupid.

You could at least try. Sometimes they make exceptions. Include an explanation.
