I think game has good balance so far. Try to learn Knight+Soldier combo.
I'm not sure about the correct translation (non-English UI).
Buff Knight ATK and then use combo for DEF% thred.
It's kinda insane, I'm doing 600+ damage.
Edited: for bosses of course.
nah 14 is about right, what's your job setup? i'm playing on hard and ended up doing it with a monk/priest/knight party. open with the monk/priest synth skill on a zombie, have the monk and knight inherit hama from priest and you can pretty reliably keep the zombies down. NEVER let him get a turn with 2 zombies on the field, he'll generally prioritise summoning over anything and the best way to minimize dmg taken is nuking them as they spawn.
If you're pulling a Persona and trying to do the entire dungeon in 1 day I get the feeling difficulty was increased partially to make that less accessible, going back to town and appraising/cleansing loot CAN and WILL make a difference. Alternatively if you really want to grind ♥♥♥♥ out you can do the side dungeon that the magic shop owner sends you to (provided you have the stats to talk to her), if you're already at the cathedral end boss you can clear it with moderate difficulty.
That's everything I can think of, good luck and stuff
I'm 14 with warrior, knight and healer. Thanks for the rest of the actual advice instead of being obnoxious and snide. I'll try all this shortly.
and before anyone comes with the argument that it makes the game more tactical...NO no its not. its just more work, more tedious, there is no thinking involved, "uh the enemy is strong against mages, then i make everyone ah warrior" -is not something that requires high IQ or tactical thinking in any way.
all of which are reasonable in my opinion
#1 - you rushed into something unprepared and got punished for it
#2 - you got unlucky and got ambushed/missed an attack etc which screwed you over
#3 - you have a bad strategy for the area you are in and are not adapting.
all of these are things you can fix by taking your time and properly using the tools in front of you.
here is a great example, when entering the grand cathedral you will come across a LOT of undead enemies. thus having atleast 1 person with light magic will make their fights a lot better.
but lets say you want to actually have MORE than just a healer. well inherit hama (light magic spell) onto another archetype so you can cover that advantage move without giving up the benefits of other archetypes like defense or buffs.
as well USE the battle reset function. its there for a reason. got really unlucky? ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan? just reset. try again, re-approach the fight with hindsight that way you can push forward. its not cheating, its accepting a loss and skipping to the retry.
EDIT: also the high XP and reward enemy in this game are called Elmentas. they are floating balls of magla that flee on sight of you. if you can defeat them in a single round you can get large sums of XP all around and decent money.
tip - their weakness is always the element opposite them (like fire is opposite to ice, this fire is strong against ice elmentas and vice-versa)
