Quest deadline
How does it work? Are all of the deadline quests revolve around dungeon that you can complete within a single timeslot, or are there some "investigation" quests that require several slots?

for main story quest:
Well I can assure you that you don't lose unspent days, which means if you defeat necromancer in like 2-3 days game won't skip to deadline on 22th to continue the story.

for side quests:
not all side quests revolve around dungeons
there's 1 which requires you to perform certain night activity which raises virtue.

as for investigation that's smth which comes later I guess?
below it's mild spoiler for post necromancer next story quest:
Investigation so far require you to talk to marked npc in current city.
If you played Persona 4 or Persona 4 Golden then it works similiarly to 3rd dungeon with Rise.

Thanks. I always had this fear about Atlus games, that I am either gonna lose time by doing main quest too early, lock myself out of some of the optional content, or last but not least, soft lock by overwriting save and leaving the deadlined quest for last day, which requires at least couple days to be completed.

If you like their combat system but not the time limits, I'd suggest you try SMT. It's supposed to be harder though.(to sum it up roughly: SMT is pokemon for adults)
One thing that is different from Persona here, is that there seems to be less teenager non-sense and they reworked the demons/gods roster.(the roster part is also true for a comparison with SMT, which they share with Persona)

I like how one conversation can take an entire day away from you....

Like, in what world can a conversation last 12 hours of daylight?
