Looking at other ATLUS releases on Steam around 3-4 months but you might get lucky at the christmas/winter sale.
That being said: Don't get your hopes up for a discount of more than 10%-20% before year one is up. As it turns out this game is already selling very well for ATLUS standards.
Thank you for the info. :)
70 thankfully doesn't seem to stick for many games anyways.
So many games come out at 70 now and get discounted to the "original" 60 very very fast (faster than any other price drop games usually get). Let's be real: The price bump by 10 bucks was totally bs to begin with.
Metaphor is a good game (5 hours in) but it seriously isn't worth 70 bucks. 50 is a very good price (which is what I bought it for)/60 highly debatable. For 70 I would have expected way better graphics/way less technical hiccups and no day one DLCs.
I got mine for like $50 from Japan (yay for exchange rates). It was the right price for me. You're right it's kind of expensive and will come down quickly. If I'm forced to pay 70, there are few games that I would actually buy day 1. The last game I bought at full price was FF7 Rebirth, and before that, I can't even tell you. Anyways, agreed.
The only game I can think of that I bought for 70 was Zelda TotK which I really liked (I go nuts for "play the way you want/build your own stuff" mechanics) and that game was worth it I'd say but that pricing was way off as well.
Since I've payed 60 bucks for Baldur's Gate 3 tho I'd argue that no game out there right now warrents a price tag of 70 bucks.
