How do the dlc BGM's and jingles work?

I bought the $100 version of the game with all the persona/smt costumes and BGMs/jingles. I know that in persona, the extra songs for the battles and dungeons and such were in the settings and you would pick the ones you want or do random. I don't see any option like that on here so was just wondering how they work? I tried putting the costume on the main character but it didnt seem to change anything. Couldnt put them on the whole team because grius had no costumes to put on so maybe I have to have the entire team wearing the same costume from the same game? Figured I'd come here and ask just to be sure. Thanks in advance!

each DLC costume equipped by the main character changed the battle theme.

if you equip him with the Persona 1 outfits, Persona 1 battle theme will play, if you equip him with SMT 4 outfit, SMT4 battle theme will play, so on

I think the costume is only visible inside dungeon and battle and the BGM also only plays during advantage battle

and your party members outfit doesnt affect the battle theme afaik

This is crappy. I assumed it would have more options the way P5's did, and I also don't see why the outfits are locked to dungeon only. Wish I could refund the DLC.
