Hints on how to "Spend time with Supporters"?

So I'm still on the first mission w/ a deadline and checked the "Travelers Choices" and I see a lot of people are "spending time with supporters" which sounds really fun but I have no idea where I would go to unlock that feature. Can anyone hint me in on who I should talk to or where I should go to start hanging out with people? I haven't watched a single trailer for this game so if you could keep it as vague as possible that'd be cool

press left on the d-pad (don't know what button it is for pc) and it will bring up a list on who you can spend time with. failing that, you can walk to where each character is and talk to them to hang out.

Whenever I do it from the menu it just says "I don't feel anything right now..." and whenever I go talk to them near the inn they just ask me if I want to go to the cathedral :(

ah. i guess you have to clear the cathedral first. the people you're seeing might have done the whole cathedral on the first day,
