im not there yet but its upgrade might be better also, who knows.
also remember that Healer is the base archetype and the strengthened versions "may" not have the same weaknesses (this is me speculating since ive not got far in so far)
its the same as SMT weaknesses, you build your team to maximise strengths and shore up weaknesses
I know that the 2nd bond for party member 3 (red) sometimes has them take a hit if protag would be hit by weakness , which is probably the earliest method to shore up the weakness
But yah that physical weakness can allow for some nasty beatdowns.
you can raise the level for a while and just buy the healer skills you like/unlocked for your other classes
