Nope literally did this fight right before heading off with my replica as I still had to get some medical herbs from the nearby forest for a quest so I had no choice but to face him in a strider battle. Funnily enough the random guards you can fight in the next part of the story actually worked like I envisioned. As in they have no choice but to attack me through the Knight ability, but are unable to due to the King's magic.
Jin can just completely ignore that for some reason.
Huh, that's weird. Didn't know you could run into Gauntlet Runner fights between Brielhaven and Altabury Heights. The only time the MC's protection really comes up is during the event with Glodell and the guards in the opera house
Yeah his runner is literally right outside Brielhaven. During the island arc, at least in my game. Don't know if he is normally there or he is just there because I skipped his strider during the Brielhaven arc.
