Am I close to the end?
I just received the final party member and defeated an ice dragon. I was wondering if I was close to the end of the game or had some more time. Thanks!

I suggest you to grind before getting to louis, he is quite hard to fight if you play on hard and never grind levels.

Thank you! I am way underleveled but I'm on normal mode I think!

Arch level is the most important if you haven't grind them. Character level won't help much if you just raise for 2 to 3 levels. You can just feel the difference when character levels has been raised for around 5 to 7 levels. Especially for agility, which I barely experience dodging the attacks. I am so unlucky on that. But still I suggest to put the points in agil

Thank you so much for the advice! I'm glad to know I have a lot more hours to enjoy the game as well. It's a blast

JRPGs typically requires 60 hours to complete. And even more if you grind a lot. Glad to hear that you're enjoying Metaphor.

I can't wait to dig into some more JRPGs after this then, but I've been taking my time and doing every side quests. This game is phenomenal

persona series are good, but still it has some grinding for some bosses. I studied psychology, so I love the persona series. Persona 5 is the crystal of that. Persona 3 reload may cost more as it just got out not long, but it is still a good game.

Shin megami tensei series are also good. You can try, but i like persona more.

Like a dragon series is also good. Personally I suggest to play yakuza : like a dragon and then infinte wealth. Infinite wealth is better in combat, but like a dragon has better story. The whole franchise is on sale now. These 2 like a dragon are turn based. There are also some of them are action rpg, like the who erased his name, judgment(no e) series. Yakuza games are all good. if you like 1 of them, basically you like all of them.

Or I can suggest you to play monster hunter story series or digimon cyber sleuth if you like pokemon-kind games, those are turn based, but don't have attack system like metaphor, they just trigger fight by having contact with enemy.

More turn based jrpg, like dragon quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age. There are not much turn based jrpg. But if you really want to try, try persona series, like a dragon series, shin megami tensei series and cyber sleuth. Someone said Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes are good, but I never played it, so cannot tell you.

Some games from the koei tacmo, like romance of the three kingdom are turn-based, but not rpg. They are more like total wars. If you like turn based games, which can accept to be not rpg, those are also good choices.

If you want more action rpg liked jrpg, u can try NIS America's game. Some of them are good. There is a nis america sale now. Ys X: Nordic is good. I like this one, but it is action rpg and hack and slash.

If you like action rpg with hack slash, like the Ys X I mentioned above, basically you cannot miss final fantasy series. Just try them if you like action jrpg. Personally suggest ff xv window edition that you can find on steam. This one can kill a lot of them and not getting bored.

Play monster hunter if you like slashing monsters. This doesn't need any words to explain, such a famous series.

You can also play tales series. These are mostly action jrpg, hack slash. Tales of arise which recently have a new dlc, I like this one. Tales of berseria is also good.

Speaking of tales of arise, Scarlet nexus is also good. It is same type game of tales of arise, but different genre. Story is good, combat is more interesting than tales of arise, which I personally thought.

I can also suggest one gun theme action jrpg, which I like the most among all gun themed rpg. SAO: Fatal Bullet. Other SAO games are good, but may get bored soon. But fatal bullet is the only one that you can make your own character in the series and have great story. Speaking of SAO, the recent game, fractured daydream, you can also try that. It is a online game, with a campaign, but mostly multiplayer. It just released. It has have microtransaction but I personally think that those things in the store are useless.

Kingdom hearts is also a good series. It is my memory to my high school, playing with my friends on ps at home. It is now on steam.

This is such a great list! I have screencapped it so I can reference it later. Thank you for taking the time to write it out

Thanks, this genre is really great. Now I've been stuck on this boss fight for a few hours LOL! I'm trying out new tactics and getting pretty close each time.

Yeah, I'd recommend you going straight to MegaTen (Shin Megami Tensei) next.
