Most overrated game of the year?
terrible side questing and the story is completely stringed together so far. like the runner teleportation magic was such a goofy set of scenes. persona 5 is a better game and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is way better haha.

I think it's their first foray into fantasy or medieval fantasy, and as such they don't have the level of experience than say the Persona franchise where they basically remade and perfected the highschool setting 4x until they got Persona 5 (and soon Persona 6). So obviously it's not gonna be as smooth of a story than Persona.

But tbh I don't care, I bought the game precisely because its medieval fantasy.
I usually play those games, the Persona games don't interest me too much, especially how bloated and repetitive they seem to be with the calendar system and countless days to pass with meaningless activities. I watched like 6 hours of P5 for example and whilst the game starts off good and exciting, already by end of Kamoshida Palace/arc, I was bored by how slow the story was compared to the hours of gameplay you put in. Metaphor is way faster paced and I feel that I'm gonna actually finish that game, which makes it better than any Persona game to me.

Don't regret the purchase. I'll see it as my first Atlus experience.
Not even sure I'll purchase Persona 6 when it comes out likely in 2025.

don't know if you actually finish the game, esp that you lack the mouse icon. so until then taking your opinion as a grain of salt. I just finished the game, and it was awesome!

Did you even play the game? Backseating someone is never a good idea especially for turn-based games, or actually, RPGs in general.

he doesn't even have the game

played it on ps5 version on shared console. the story is just ham fisted or just weird over done, like for example when you need to get hunt a big monster for a hunt in the main story instead you get this girl who was kidnapping babys to ressurect her baby. she then gets her head chopped of on the spot lol when you bring her to the tournament meetup was straight goofy bro like it wanted to copy the ned stark scene but just cringe honestly not edgy just a bit radical?. the main mc is just a more goofy persona 3 mc???? like what he was just cutting normal as is.

Yeah, story probably does seem a bit weird if you're not actually following it.

There is romance in the game, and dating.

saying the graphics look like ps3 tells me you are running 720p and are half blind or just never played games back then

No, that would be the game about a female cyborg, a copy of NieR Automata... from Koreans. You probably know the name, I can't be bothered.

The fact you are wrong on so many levels is pretty impressive for someone that claimed to have played it.

Spoilers about the part he's talking about;

Their goal isn't to win, their goal is to get Louis to notice them. They actively sabotaged the church, Louis' biggest competitor, in order to get noticed. That was the whole plan as was told if you wanted to follow it. The ''girl'' was also not trying to kidnap babies to resurrect her baby i'm pretty sure. She thought the human WAS her baby and it's a mothers duty to feed her baby, as misguided as it was. Considering she did these heinous acts while being a fairly high member of the church, naturally death would follow.

But keep acting like you played it.

wall textures for example are 256x256, background NPC clothes are 128x128 and so on ... calling them ps3 graphics is not a stretch by any means.

It's just a generic Japanese fantasy game visuals. They actually reminded me of... Hobbit game from Sierra, from the 00s. The environment in the forest is just 1:1.

It's not generic, it's pretty unique. However I did get the hobbit vibe too I'm glad to hear I'm not alone
