OP Merchant/Tycoon with Gold Attack/Rush (may have some spoilers)
I know this has been brought up before but a few main points especially as you get towards the end of the game.

1. These attacks are almighty, they will always get past any resistance including when enemies deploy shields.

2. Despite being a physical skill, they dont seem to be affected front/back changing, so strength applies but wont be decreased by being in the back row. Being in the back row loweres enemy melee damage and lets you utilize the rank 4 follower perk that grants defense in the back row, by end game im getting dealt no more than 50 damage an attack except on weakness (Sturdy stance and hard difficulty)

3. These attacks utilize money which can be recovered with the merchant/tycoon passive or with magla farming using debt collector, using tycoon with trader summit and the 2x item effect with 4 tycoons, the cursed food that gave 100 mana to each character gave 300 mana instead, this way you can find an enemy and grind ~50 of these cursed foods and have almsot 1million magla which lets you get max money easily, if more magla is needed, farm more. The ingredients especially at endgame are cheap and you can make 50 in a single trip on the gauntlet runner (also 2x items makes the ambrosia 50% heals into party wide 100% heals as a benefit since it comes with tycoon, trader summit can be dropped when not farming with debt collector)

4. Utilizing gold as your only attack method means you have no mana loss in the dungeons meaning you can go forever with minimal issue. No resource management essentially

5. The end game has items specifically for intense use of these attacks, there are weapons for merchant/tycoon that can triple cost and strength (also weaker ones that can double cost and strength). Additionally, you can get the gambler's accessory from the Colosseum which will double any critical damage dealt. You also have the 20% almighty boost passive and heat up as well if desired (critical trader doubles crit chance and I believe these moves have a base crit chance making them almost never not crit). With all of these items and passives, I when i am fighting a normal enemy in the final dungeons of the game I can get 10-16k damage from using this move and critting. Zorba in the Skyward Avatar was defeated before he utilized a single move as criticals cycled through my party and my damage was immense. For the elegy in the final trial, I won after only 3 shifts on the first cycle he had as so much damage could be dealt and a few more crits from my allies would have made it even better (I found the second 3x weapon after this fights so having it would have made it probably a 2 shift fight)

Overall, gold rush/attack are so useful that you can forgo any other non-passive moves (except steal) and win the game with it along (not anywhere close to max strength stat). Instead of listening to information merchants just power your way and forget about weaknesses (also tycoon has fire/light weakness, but light is very rarely used as an enemy attack and fire has the most null/repel gear in the game so you have minimal weaknesses)

Why Tycoon instead of prince, well prince can use gold rush and almighty boost and critical trader (and sturdy stance which I would choose as my 4th) but cant utilize the tycoon weapons for their strengthening effect. If you used prince you could get resist all, but otherwise it is better as tycoon as you can have more inherited passives rather than the minimum passives required to make it work like with prince.

While this gets very powerful at the end game, it is enough to carry you to the final month easily when you can upgrade from merchant to tycoon (which i did on hard mode, I dont expect regicide would be that much more difficult since enemies dont have a chance to attack)

In terms of triple cost, magla farming and general grinding has made me max bank account with ~700k magla additional should i need it for money purposes, I have bought everything I can that is useful from all shops so i have nothing left to spend money on except for the gold rush attack so I feel financially secure

How do you make 50 meals in a single Huntley runner trip?

Initially it's 1 meal with a time skip, later when you improve your relationships with Neuras a bit further, you'll get to cook without time skipping at all.

I think it is Maria's social link actually
your formation affects your physical attacks damage, so point no. 2 is invalid

While you can only make one meal per trip (even with Maria's llink) there's no limit to the actual AMOUNT of that meal you can make.

So if you have the ingredients to make 99 of something, you can crank those babies out. The level 7 Cleric feat just adds +1 to the amount of whatever you make. Which is nice for the very rare ingredients, but less impressive on the low-end practical foods.

Oi. That's going from 49 Cursed Love Ballads a trip to 50. With a Tycoon, that's 200 MP across the board, which means that's at least 8 rounds of Merchants mugging the MAG outta some punk for freeeeeeeee. :SMT5V_Mothman:
