I feel underleveled. (Some spoilers)
I am not super far, ive made it to the 2nd city, and am working on a bounty right now, but i have to leave in a day for the "Sandflash" I am around level 14ish. Ive been having a bit of trouble with bosses for a while.

Does it ever slow down a bit so i can get everything done and do some leveling to catch up? I have bounties now, but little time to do them.

if you're on hard. you are VERY underleveled. you should at least ended act 1 at level 18 or 19.
if you're on normal. 15 to 17.

there isn't a time limit for staying in the dungeons. what you do is use mage to keep your mp up while killing weak mobs and you always go for the unhurt bonus in fights so you can get bonus everything.

remember you can restart battles and when you restart you still keep knowledge of the enemy's weakness.

i switched from hard to normal and the difference is massive. i was rushing to END fights quick as possible from the 2 actions the AI gets and on normal i can actually rely on auto attacks to kill

Ah k, i started on hard, and moved it down to normal for one of the bosses, and left it there haha. How does the mage keep your MP up? Ive only used the mage a couple of times.

I've found you can kinda "grind" dungeons by just running around as a mage killing the smaller mobs and build up levels and also refill your "mana" as a passive using the mage class... so you can set you party to what you want to level up and just grind over and over... I had to do this to get the first dungeon on the first day i could get to it... hope that helps...

all the classes have passive skills that work on the field.

seeker make the allied npcs attack the enemy more

warrior stop enemies from having advantage on the field

mage recovers mp from stunned or defeated mobs

healer heals the party every time the allied npcs attack a enemy on the field (useful and worthless at the same time. its faster and slower to farm with the mage and cast auto heal)

brawler staggers heavy enemies faster (things like the human eggs and such)

merchant gives more money for overworld kills (bruh. i was so mad i unlocked the merchant so late. a single mob on the first act gives 230 gil with the merchant.)
and last one for act 1
knight chance to reflect overworld attacks (IE: chance to not take damage from weak mobs)

when you set MC as mage, he have a hero passive where everyone recovers MP when you killed a stun mobs on overworld, aka killing mobs with attack instead of going into turn base combat.

for example on the 1st city grand cathedral dungeon, you can use your MP fighting higher level mobs like the Fulquilo, and then when you are out of MP, you go back to where there is a lot of dogs, use mage on MC then just 1 hit kill those lower level mobs to recover MP, then when you have enough MP, you go back grinding Fulquilo.

I just want to add the gold is based on Protag's current level, not the enemy level. Merchant's passive is amazing for farming money... no other method comes close, even without optimizing the passives of other members to get more items from overworld kills.

Just run around a dungeon for an hour and level up. Make multiple saves too, in case you screw yourself over by under-leveling. I have spent multiple times in a dungeon for an hour just farming money or exp. Stuff gets expensive later so farming gold will be helpful and you get plenty of exp in the process. I went from 2.5 mil to 180k from fully upgrading everyone's equipment and buying things for the class that unlocks when getting to the islands, just to farm back up to 2.1 mil at the tower. The best way to farm money/exp is those magla crystals in dungeons that spawn enemies. Don't destroy the crystal, equip merchant on the protagonist, and farm the infinite enemies that spawn. The gold comes in a lot quicker, and then you just destroy the crystal when you are going to go fight the boss. With merchant at 20, I have gotten hundreds of those items that give +1000 exp to archetypes, so I have fully leveled multiple classes on multiple characters without them ever having that archetype actually equipped. Just make sure to use them as item cap is 99 for an item.

Do some leveling, happened to me as well at the exact same point. If you have trouble with the bounty, you are underleveled (that'S where I knew it was barley strong enough to get after the target)
