I hope so, but also as I am going the magic route, this is good news.
pure numbers wise, a phys focused party can match that per round comfortably without crits and do better with.
You keep saying this but no boss has more than 40k hp, so how does a phys party match that per turn when this means enemy is 1 shot?
Also show me what phys does 40k no crit except Destroyer on 1 hp
It takes 1 Turn. I could do a lot more damage if the setup allowed me to kill a character so he would be at 1 HP.
Prince + Fairy adds an extra 3 actions.
sorry, when i say turn, i mean actions. in my brain, turn = actions and round = turn. probably cuz the game keeps calling it turns.
anyways, never said phys can do it in one shot. what i meant was phys can match it on a damage-per-action basis. to be fair, that's only true if everybody's equipped with utilitarian's manual.
magic users need to spend one of their own turns using hyper to get their max damage number out, while phys can just have the royal dancer charge them up. two low health tycoons moving after royal dancer/berserker buffer and equipped with fortune god's abacuses (triple damage on coin attacks) can deal 20k with their synergy on their turn with no crits on regicide.
so that's two actions for the mage, two actions for the tycoons for roughly 40k each. more for tycoon if they crit. that's what i mean when i say they can match them on a per-action basis.
all this goes out the window if you bring in the party hyper food, but if we're bringing in food we can start bringing up sublime spoonful too, and then all discussion about balance is out the window.
honestly, the game's not hard enough to justify min maxing to this extent. more of a fun though experiment than anything.
Full Power Charadrius (don't destroy any crystals) Phase 2 has 80k hp actually, but he's the only one. Maybe phase 1 counts since it has 25k hp x 3? But that phase is just there to waste your MP, and you can just AOE that nonsense down instead.
yea but mages can do it in 1 ROUND too is what i'm saying, none of my dragons or elegy on regicide got a single turn off, only thing that does is redscale dragon, so while you COULD probably go higher with phys, it's just not needed, mages could potentially fit in 1 non-boosted nuke for 10k to hit 50k but i also still don't think tycoons hit 40k on regicide because the highest hit ive seen was 40k on hard and 40k on hard turns into ~25k on regicide
Does he actually have 80? it didn't feel like that at all, then again this means i barely killed him on my 2nd round
Yep, or thereabouts, i've barely missed a few 2 turn kills before due to the damage variance rolling low and giving me a 39k. But that fight's pretty much the only situation where you'll ever need to do more than one hit of 40k.
