Good to hear
that said glad your having fun now
By fast paced, I mean that the gameplay itself is simplistic and pure gameplay.
It's basically all about movement, dodging, and hitting one button. The lore is not exposed at all and all in the background. It's basically going through levels, fighting bosses. It does not require you to slow down and read things like a JRPG does. For example FightingCowboy who plays exclusively souls games, couldn't play like over 1 hour of metaphor without quitting forever (and he skipped all dialogue). This game (even more so than Nier which is action heavy) requires you to sit down for a long time and read dialogue, that can be off putting to the majority of gamers that want a game that is 99% gameplay (like majority of games). Majority of games do not expose the story heavily through text. But Atlus does.
This is my first Atlus game and its definitely a new thing for me, but I'm enjoying it.
It's more art game than pure gameplay game IMO.
I'm still at the ultra beginning of the game (just reached first town outside the main city) and I wonder if I will ever hit any difficult point. My party hasn't died once so far.
All in all, it definitely rewards you for sticking with it.
