*Spoiler Free Please* Can you ACTUALLY run out of time?
I am trying to see if I can get this question answered in a spoiler free fashion. Digging too far into discussions may lead me to spoiling things for myself....

On paper I get that you can "run out of time" to do certain things and participating in activities makes that time progress. Is there technically enough "time" to do all the side content in the game and not risk a "Game over?"

There's enough time to do everything on your first playthrough without a guide.

So long as you focus on bonds when they're up, and then raising stats about equally across the board(unless one bond requires something for a goal), you'll finish with a few days to spare, along with all quests. So long as you can do all the dungeons in one, slightly harder here than in Persona 5, but not terribly so.

That said, if you see greyed out icon next to a bond of a follower who's in the party, check to see if they need something not related to stats(they usually means you need to go on a journey in the Runner to get them to open up on board).

This is the first "Persona" game I played without a min/max guide. Fully expected to miss a lot of stuff. But actually it's pretty generous with it's time table. If you focus on doing dungeons in a single day, and learn quickly how/what things will actually take "time" while other's don't, you can easily do everything in your first run. In fact, at the very end, they give you an entire month to wrap up stuff (quests/social links/etc) and by the last like week or two (I had been completing all the quests for each area before proceeding) I found myself with very little to do.

Thank you all, this has been very helpful. Looking forward to exploring the game more!

This, I was genuinely surprised at being able to complete all the sidequests, all the bounties, get all the bonds maxed, and level all the archetypes in one playthrough.

Downside is there's not really much left to do in NG+ besides the secret boss.

I was very unprepared to do this first dungeon on the last day of the 10 day cycle. I can't recover mp thorugh any means other than grinding mindlessly :)))) I hope that's something that reduces in severity as the game goes on.

Switch the Protagonist to one of the Mage/Magic Archetypes. Every time you stun or kill an enemy with that one on him, every party member in the active party regains 1 MP

I know, but that's the grind i'm talking about. It's...less than fun.

There's a FLiNG Trainer for the game. I've not looked but it probably has a cheat for MP. You could use that to top off then turn it off and carry on as normal.

You got plenty of time to complete the main missions.

Well, ♥♥♥♥... I guess I'll be missing out on finishing the quests in that tower south of Virga, then. I wasn't able to get it done in two days on easy. And JRPGs are games I don't have the attention span to immediately start an NG+ with! Lol

Completed the game. Can confirm, was able to complete the game with some time to spare (though I had some social link thingies that still needed to be done, but not much).
