Also, just to be totally clear, time won't progress on its own right? Like if I'm just walking around the city it won't be night from real time passing?
If you have items that need to be purified getting wisdom to rank 2 takes top priority. Do the bench once and the cooking sidequest and you should get there. Then you can decide if you want to tackle the dungeon or do other things in town. Depending on your difficulty setting the sidequest for the Merchant class will be near impossible for you at this point though.
No one replied... Probably doesn't matter anymore... but usually the way the Persona games work (which is what this is modeled after), the game is in segments. Like, segment 1 is the above dungeon we've been talking about. You can do it at any time during the segment. Nothing really progresses until the next segment (but also functions as a hard deadline for that segment's dungeon).
Hope that makes sense. In the Persona games, lots of people would barrel through and do the main dungeon as early as possible in a segment in as few days as possible. In this game, it often makes more sense to do side quests first and get stronger; other times (like apparently in this first segment?) it makes more sense to do the main dungeon first.
I see. Basically each deadline means that story stuff happens there regardless when the dungeon was done. When it comes to activities it only changes which is first: dungeon or activities to raise stats/deepen the bonds with teammates.
I've always tried to do everything as time-efficiently as possible, and I end up with about 15 days to spare.
I'm missing a few achievements but I didn't use a guide and went blind in this game but if I had thought about them beforehand I could have easily included them (e.g. win every debate).
