Thats the same dungeon in Ethrian Oddysey
I'm not sure if humans and watchers are similar beings though. I don't read the memorandum that much, maybe you know more than I do about what they are. Drakengard's Watchers are sent by gods to destroy humanity. What exactly are the Humans here?
It's a direct reference to Etrian Odyssey 1, a game which the developer also worked on. The map layout for Shinjuku in both games are exactly 1:1 to each other.
It is an Etrian Odyssey 1 reference. Probably hinting at the fact, the story is a prequel to the EO series and with the world you can speculate it is the same map where EO1,2,3 exist. Brilehaven is likely the sunken city in EO3, Vigra Islands is Etria in EO1, and one of the other cities is possibly the EO2 city which your team in EO1 sail to get to.
