If you aren't high enough to insta-kill them just enter combat with them when they are both stunned and immediately escape to reset their drops, just keep repeating until you have 99 of the item. If you one-shot them (think you need to be 68) then you can respawn them by going into Academia via the nearby cat.
This gives you insanely fast A-EXP, the issue being MAG for me. Where is the best spot to farm MAG in endgame? No idea, would be nice if someone posted this.
Just have the cat at the top of the stairs take you to Akedamia to reset. The cat moves to the very top once you beat the dragon or start the dragon quest though so be mindful of that.
by far the best mag spot is in the final, final dungeon right before the final boss. you need to be level 77 to fully take advantage of it, but there's really no contest anywhere else in the game. it's about 1k per kill, and there are two spawners constantly spitting out enemies.
for exp and a-exp, there's a spot a little further back that has two spawners that occasionally spawn level 88 tooths. if you go in with all maxed archetypes and get the unscathed bonus, you come out with about 50 leafs and 7k exp.
Setup for all characters
- equip the paladin's revitalize 3 to get mag every turn
- equip shield blessing from elite magician (gives MP every turn if the character has a buff on it
- equip items that give a buff at start of battle
Step 2:
- stun enemies before entering battle (attack from behind)
- don't attack, skip turns
- before the stun goes away, escape battle
- repeat...
Any of the dragon towers are great for farming MAG. Worked for me
By far the best tip I saw so far that does not include "the last dungeon" (which is after the point of no return, so really only good for NG+) and in case you already destroyed all of the red crystals in the tower(s). Thank you for that!
They also actually give quite good exp and axp, apart from dropping roots so you will get a few levels while doing that.
There's a section in the final final dungeon where there are three respawners that only spawn humans. Depending on your level (you need to be able to kill them in world, rather than battle, for quicker results), every 2-3 kills will reward the 1k boost from levelling if the rest of your team are on maxxed out classes. You can just sit there and keep one-shotting the humans and making sure not to destroy the respawner buds. I levelled up three tier 3 classes this way, it was so easy. Mastered every remaining archetype I had by doing this and got the achievement.
- Equip 3 characters with Merchant and all the MP per turn/kill equipment/inherits you can get.
- Equip the 4th character with something that can oneshot the enemies you're fighting. I used Strohl as Pugilist. Make sure he has the lowest agility so he goes 4th.
- Enter battle with some single scrub enemy.
- Use Debt collection with all 3 of your merchants, which will give 1700+ MAG each.
- Then kill the enemy with 4th person to get an unscathed victory = 7500 MAG
Only downside is that Debt collection costs 100 MP, but if you cycle through all your characters everytime you finish a dungeon, you will quickly get 100K MAG.
You can also just enter combat and keep passing turns to regen to full mana and repeat (Plunder Magic every turn can also help) or use the Mage archetype to regen mana in the overworld. For example near the top floor of Spire of Blind Faith there's 30+ skeletons that you can chainkill. Every 3 times you do this will let you cast Debt Collection once per character = 15K MAG.
Before last month, there's Magical Bread, too. It's much slower, granting 4 MP every 5 seconds for 1 minute or so, and can't be used together with Finishing Noodles or other field-foods but it's accessible much sooner.
Remember you can only cook them on the Runner when you go somewhere but you can make multiple at once, so buy in bulk to save on Time slots.
They aren't in the grand trad final water shop or meat shop
