No damage increase based on stat?
Something told me that Wizard's spells and Fighter's spells had similar damage, so I tested it out.
Me: Magician, 31 Magic, 141 attack(weapon), no damage increase buffs. LV 23
Stroll: Fighter, 9 Magic, 140 attack(weapon), no damage increase buffs. LV 22
Two characters attack the same monster after setting the same magic that is not a weakness. 20 times.
ME : Average damage. 164
Stroll : Average damage. 161
It was such a small difference that I wondered if it was a bug.
It feels like just weapon damage is applied to the damage, not strength or magic.
Maybe later in the game it's increased by some skill or another.
Thanks

the stat scaling should be a lot higher than that

did you test physical "spells"?

Certain Skills scale based on certain Stats, naturally Strohl is fairly weak because his stat distribution can be bad, and just like ever other character they'll generally do less damage than the main character because you can minmax on stats and make up for the main character's flaws else where. Early game its hard to see the damage difference, but it becomes a lot more obvious late game.

I just tested this on 2 chars, both lvl 71, one has 45 mag, one has 99 both with 420 dmg weapons, the 45 mag char did 3500 dmg, the 99 mag char did 5700 dmg (same skill, same weapon atk, same enemy) so it's definetly got smth to do with stat+attack scaling (i used Hyper buff on both to simulate a real scenario)

I wish I hadn't skilled aggressively in magic from the start.
Merchant is such an awesome class.

LMAOOOO Merchant is just actually insane. You can steal an item from Jin the Nidia Monopoly looking dude towards the end and get the [Fortune God's Abacus] which does 3x cost and 3x damage.

I ran 4 merchants through out most of the game, but end game went 1 zerk 3 tycoons.
