After closing Steam, deleting the game folder, and doing a fresh install, it took 9 minutes.
i had to restart my pc and quickly delete the metaphor folder before steam started up to reinstall it
Optimization at its finest.
Steam is working again and my computer is back to its usual speed.
An issue like this with a patch is not okay.
Is it okay though? not really, they didn't even bother to make a real patch so it's just redownloading the entire game.
You are only downloading 1.4 GB, however...
the devs packaged it so the game recompiles all 91 GB. And Steam makes sure you have that space before it tries to recompile.
No, this is not the best way to apply an update. But its what the devs did.
Is it true? There aren't many patches like that. This is a problem every time
