Downloaded patch, stuck at "Installing 0%"

I've tried restarting Steam, my computer, and clearing the download cache. Anyone have any ideas?

If your HDD/SDD is close to 100% and you have another drive it'll try to move files between them. It's what's happened to me in the past.

Update: I restarted my system, then when Steam came up, I paused the download, and was able to cancel the download. I was able to uninstall the whole game. Re-installing now. Hopefully that will clear things up.

Reinstalling the game fixed it for me. I had to kill steam in task manager first though so it would unstuck the install and then let me uninstall it

I tried to reinstall the game. It does help me to solve this issue. The save data is still there.

I tried to delete the files from my PC, my SSD went from 254gb remaining to 334 remaining. I open up steam and suddenly my SSD went back to 254 remaining. I just uninstalled steam, which deleted all of my games (after my friend telling me it didn't) and now I'm downloading this game again and all the saves of my other games gone. I wish I could refund this game but I already was 30 hours deep.

Hello, you just need to wait do not reinstal. Just wait it will get done at some point. The time depends on you drive !!
