Controversy concerning Junah
My only gripe with the game is how they handle Junahs character reveal. Why, of all forms do they choose that of a small child, and even worse, they make this the true form of the most flirtatious and femininity-alluring character in the party? This game tries to convey a number of messages of depth about society to the player, so I wonder what this message was supposed to be, ¨Even if my true form is that of a child, I'm still a proper love interest and don't feel disgusted about viewing me as such¨? Really off-putting in all honesty, and I have no clue why the form of an infant was chosen in this instance, but it's gross. The Japanese media really needs to stop lolicon culture and trying to trick their audience into romanticizing children.

Sorry not sorry.

Not knowing how to separate fiction from reality is a modern problem that needs addressing.
this is one of the dumbest posts i have ever read on this forum and this forum has some pretty extreme takes, good job OP

lol so what else does this game rip off from DQ11? That’s literally one characters things except that game doesn’t cover the lead and it’s an adult in a child’s body. No romancing or flirting.
Its a shame too because the soundtrack and art direction are amazing. Just her character, the lack of boss variety (especially end game and secret bosses), stops this game from surpassing Persona 3,4, and 5.
Honestly, a bizarre take such as "abloobloobloo party member was a dwarf" ruining the game for you just reads as "I was violently cranking the hog to her for days before I saw that cutscene and now I'm angry."

There is nothing romantic about Junah though. If anything, the game itself refrains from having any romantic or sexual undertones at all. There are few exceptions to the rule (like some jokes and Eupha Rank 8) but as for the rest, including Junah, there isn't anything implicative about it. As for how she flirts--that is just her persona.
Except she's not a child in the way you are saying. She is an adult with a small body. She herself says that at a certain age they learn glamours to appear as they would as adults of the size of the other races, so they aren't judged as not adults from those who take appearances above everything in the literal way you are doing now.

She's an adult. To call her a child would be as offensive as calling a human woman with dwarfism a child just because she is close to the body size of a child, despite being an adult, and denying her any romantic partners and saying those people are attracted to children.

What a crap take.

When she said she had a real form though I honestly expected something snake or succubus like, I felt it was weird, and I was surprised. But equating liking the glamours form of Junah to liking children in that way? Makes me suspicious of you more than anyone else if I'm being real, like why did you even have these thoughts? I sure didn't.
There is a difference between a child and a Lilliputian.

Maria is a child, but Junah is clearly of a similar age to the protagonist.

This must be bait
she's not a child, she's just a tiny slug lady.

A childlike character in a game turned me on, so now I'm going to rant, project and blame Japanese culture instead of doing any introspection.

I believe you meant to post this on twitter.
This post says more about you than the game.

Did the actual high schoolers in swimsuits, let alone dating them not deter you from the perfect persona games.

This is considerably less thirtsy and "problematic" then those games if you really want to go down this path.
