Controversy concerning Junah

My only gripe with the game is how they handle Junahs character reveal. Why, of all forms do they choose that of a small child, and even worse, they make this the true form of the most flirtatious and femininity-alluring character in the party? This game tries to convey a number of messages of depth about society to the player, so I wonder what this message was supposed to be, ¨Even if my true form is that of a child, I'm still a proper love interest and don't feel disgusted about viewing me as such¨? Really off-putting in all honesty, and I have no clue why the form of an infant was chosen in this instance, but it's gross. The Japanese media really needs to stop lolicon culture and trying to trick their audience into romanticizing children.

lol so what else does this game rip off from DQ11? That’s literally one characters things except that game doesn’t cover the lead and it’s an adult in a child’s body. No romancing or flirting.

Its a shame too because the soundtrack and art direction are amazing. Just her character, the lack of boss variety (especially end game and secret bosses), stops this game from surpassing Persona 3,4, and 5.

Shes definitely flirty and looks more like a humanoid child than gnome. Japan loves doing this magic little girl is cute but isnt really a human so its ok and not predatory or gross shtick.

It's not a problem at all. Junah is an adult and carries herself like one. She isn't even sexualized in her true form; it's meek to contrast with her more confident, extroverted disguise wants to be. Gnomes, fairies, dwarves, and hobbits are all similarly diminutive fantasy staples perfectly in line with the Nidia, none of which deserve your pedophilia paranoia that does absolutely nothing to protect children.

If you really want to pearl-clutch over the Nidias' true form, you should instead make it about how the race that's stereotyped as all being liars legitimately all are lying to the world about what they really look like at odds with the game's themes of tolerance.
