Is it impossible to teleport back to dungeons ?
I'll be non specific to avoid spoilers but I am just after getting a 4th member to the team and just went on a quest that is 2 days of travel away. I cleared the dungeon but realized I am severely under-leveled to beat the boss (I get mowed in 30 seconds tops).

So I went back to the ship and teleport to town to sleep thinking I'll just teleport back to the dungeon after a few levels. In lore we are supposed to be able to teleport somewhere if we have been before so I thought it'd be the way it works, but now that I leveled up it turns out I still need 2 days of travel to go the dungeon.

How come ? It makes no sense to me, did I miss something ?

Now considering loading an old save and lose hours of play but it is quite depressing...

when you first unlock the feature they state plainly while talking to eachother you can only warp between places you been, and only towns, as thats what you had a clear image of.

I got the places you been part but not that it was only towns. It makes not much sense and is quite punishing... I love the game but question this design choice. There is nothing fun into having to chose reloading an old save and losing hours of progress or lose days uselessly.

if you could return to farm all you want it would defeat the point a fair bit, the travel time is where the time restriction comes from, afterall.

Persona 5 has time management and you can go back to all dungeons anway.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you make a step back there designwise? It's nonsense.

There's a law of diminishing returns for grinding in this game, you do not get much xp from lower level mobs. I'd consider it time management to "spend" the time to go there once and open a teleport option to the place just as well.

And lorewise it makes absolutely no sense. Why would the MC not remember landmarks which are not towns ?

in persona your traveling around what is basically a small area of a city, in this game it gives you more time because each new dungeon takes multiple days to travel.

had to be memorable, walking into what is generic cave/ruin #37 isn't as clear of an image as gran trad vs port bril, which was something they told you in the cutscene you learn about it, they tested it all for you for free that day.

I think lorewise this explanation is a stretch, at best. However if you are confident we have more extra days than in Persona and traveling to this dungeon is not going to jeopardize upgrading my social links or royal skills then I suppose it becomes a non-issue.

At the end of the day the question is, should I reload an old save or just go with it and bite the bullet.

Not true. You could teleport to the entrance of every dungeon up to the dragon temple. They were talking about teleporting INTO the dungeon. I have been fast traveling to every dungeon save for this one.

In Persona 5, you can't return to previous palaces after clearing them. They're kinda gone for good. The fact that you can revisit the dungeons in Metaphor AT ALL is a step up.

Yes, that is why ENTERING the dungeon is what costs you an entire day.
