I understood that reference.
Louis is still the final villan / antagonist, just not for the reasons the story started with, also I see you blaming Forden, so I'm guessing you didn't get far enough to discover the true caster of the curse. Me personally, I saw the whole "Louis didn't do it, and isn't dead" thing coming a mile away. And I called the true caster of the curse out the first moment I saw them.
Trust me, it's worth finishing the story.
I call BS on that claim
How are you going to replace the lance in plain view of the church AND the player's party?
I'm with OP, it sucked all the tension that was building up for me.
it was the real one. that’s why eupha could summon it in the cutscene after the boss fight.
but most in the thread are forgetting how the spear was found by the church. it fell off by the wayside. everybody is staring at louis’s body. the party isn’t even on stage yet. gideaux walks up while forden is busy being confused and says “this lance was found offstage. it must have been the murder weapon.”
it was swapped before this point while everybody was distracted by louis’s body. zorba was probably the one to bring it to gideaux if anything. it was not swapped on stage in front of everybody. the party only makes it on stage after forden is already holding it in his hands.
as for the whole louis living thing, zorba wields necromantic magic that has no defined rules so it can effectively do whatever the writer wants. that’s how pretty much all of the plot related magic works in this game.
At the same time, it would have been too anticlimactic for Louis to have just died and stayed dead when we still know so little about him. But it could certainly have been handled better. I also think we don't know enough about Forden either.
Maybe it'll be expanded on more as we approach the endgame. I'll just have to find out.
It was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rella. And yes, I did call it. I didn't trust her from the beginning and given the the whole "this is an incomplete formula" I'm not sure how any of you didn't see it coming.
They sure tried to headfake me with the entire arc with her sister, Junah but failed.
A necromancer I killed during the Prologue tho.
And yes, "coming back" is an okay concept but when you pull this 3 times (Necro 1 times/ Louis fake-dead 2 times) that's just stupid writing in my book.
