Is there any reason to kill the level 46 Kokasados in the Tradia Desert?

Looked all over online and all guides are about some level 33 one for a quest later, so far managed to kill it three times by making everyone seeker for wind resistance, putting them in the back row, and throwing fire fangs but last time I even had lucky find on everyone and still no drops.

Does it drop anything? or have any use?(I'm assuming it would have to drop some kind of trophy to be used for a bounty)

It's hardly worth the money and mag it gives(like 500 each) and barely more exp then a run around the Desert smacking worm. I know it's obviously just there to make your grinding more troublesome but still disappointed there is a super tough level 46 enemy that early with seemingly no rewards attached.

Did you try stealing from it? It probably has a good steal item..

Don't have steal I don't think other then Mag steal on Merchant which with Brawler is my last Archetype I unlocked.

I'm assuming I need Thief, when can I get that?

Thief is second town. And you can return to that desert much later too. No use for the bird so far for me either.

I wouldn't worry about the bird for now then, it MIGHT have a good steal available once you get your 4th party member (who comes with thief/steal)

Once you get steal, this game HEAVILY rewards liberal use of it. Most enemies have valuable items to steal and often time gear that is = or better then the gear you are using. Especially the "tough" enemies that are usually larger and not AS trash as the trash mobs.

Also, once you DO get steal, make you steal from every single boss you fight, they usually have premo-gear.

Yeah guess I'll let it go for now, took a lot of time effort and setup to pull something off(The instant death peck is killing me literally) so was willing to keep trying if it had a rare drop but would rather not waste all the items for 500 Mag when Merchant can steal 1,000 from trash mobs.

Ok it does have drops apparently, I'm stubborn so I tried a few more times with less regard for wasting items just to see(just burning full heal revives and all that).

It dropped the Tower White Mask same as I've seen guides say for the level 33 one, so I tried again this time not burning all the rare items and got the Tower White Mask as well as a Plague Mask accessory that prevents poison.

The Kokasados does not seem to re-spawn, still not sure any of this was worth it but yeah I guess it drops something.

You are good :) I tried him. Did 7 damage with my attack and gave up. 50 hours of gameplay ago.

Was wondering about this. I went back on subsequent days and didn’t see it.

Also way easier to handle in new game+. Never encountered it on my first run, so it was a shock.

I killed that bird early on. Long before 4th party member. When I did the 1st hunt quest. Was so disappointing, nothing dropped. Its actually the hardest mob in game, him there, later him as a hunt quest higher version. And 1 dragon and your evil self only semi hard fights in game.

When I killed him in was grinding the worms to max out the jobs unlocked. That bird was lvl 33 or 35, so beat it with 4 warriors peerless attack, an A attack combo.
