So about the game asking for my name

Just tried the demo, and that was the first thing the game asked, making it clear that it wanted MY name, not a made up character's name. Without spoilers, will the game list or display my name publicaly in any way? Like if there are any sort of online features or anything? Or would I be the only one that sees it, IF it even uses my name at all?

Again, no spoilers, I assume this is likely some kind of 4th wall breaking immersion thing the game will use it for later, I just want to make sure it's not something that will be shown in any public way.

The online whispers thing uses the name of the Elda, so no, nobody will see your real name online. It's also only your first name, so like, tf is anyone doing with that anyway.

The Game says that, because it treats you as the Player and the Main Charakter differently.
From the Games perspective it makes Sense, because you the Player are the One "codesigning" this Fantasy. So they wanted you to choose a Different Name for yourself in the Game and the Main Charakter. They dont explicity need your Real Life Clear Name for that. And i think that was also never meant to sound that way.

Even if your name was so exclusive that you were the only person on the planet it wouldnt matter if anyone would be able to see it. Wtf is supposed to happen? Not like some ultra secret service hackerman would mess with your identity or something like that xD I think you worry too much ^^

Besides, has steam your real name? Facebook? Any online service? Thats more of a thing to worry about because they got your full name not your first name only.
