Controls are too frustrating
This game has some of the most frustrating controls of any modern game ever released.

When you're in town almost every face button opens a different menu and it's nearly impossible to keep track of what does what so it takes several minutes to find what you want to find. They're listed on the bottom, but, how often are you staring at the bottom of the screen?

And the way menu's are hidden in menu's that get unlocked later makes navigating everything all the more frustrating because it can feel random when the game wants you to access certain information.

Pad, which opens the map in most games, instead connects you to the internet and introduces slow down every time you press it. It's extremely frustrating....

When you open the map everything is sorted in the most non-intuitive way. Instead of cycling through zones you cycle through locations that just aren't organized very well.

When you're in combat the usual confirm button instantly uses multiple turns if you click it on accident and then when you want to reset I always instinctively hit fast forward instead of rewind and sometimes I literally have to quit out the game to restart a fight, because, trying to stop the game from fast-forwarding once it starts is a giant pain in the booty and those mistakes can cost you the entire fight.

Whenever I lost a battle it's not because I didn't know what to do, it's because I'm always pressing the wrong button. Other then the active hack/slash battles nothing is intuitive here.

Every single thing I want to do in-game is clunky do to the insane button layout and control scheme. I had to restart the game 6 times today because I swear whenever you would think you are confirming or changing something the game does the opposite of what you want it to do. It's one of the most frustrating games to control I've played in years and if everything else about this game wasn't amazing, I would instantly drop it.

1. There's about 10 buttons you can press from the main screen that you can read, Idk how you cant see the bottom of your screen unless you're sitting 2 inches from a massive screen or have a rare eyesight condition.

2. There are little to no menus that you "unlock later" outside of summoner and masked dancer tabs in Akademia.

3. Unclear whether or not this is about story progress, looking in your inventory, or just anything with a UI???

4. The controls are located at the bottom of the screen, press the map button twice to travel between cities. All locations within cities have two categories sorted from A-Z (I believe), the areas in the cities and the specific buildings you've been to.

5. It sounds like you are staring at your controller and improperly speed running instead of reading whats on the screen.

6. Most strategic JRPGs (actual strategic JRPGs) have complex and often simple strategies if you're actually familiar with the format this genre.

Easy fix: Reading, Changing your keybinds which you can do from the start-up menu, It sounds like you play the game like a minecraft speedrun on a different language, so...slow down.

The ONLY issue I have with the control scheme is that in 99% of all JRPG's the Y-button on gamepad (or triangle for all PS users out there) DOESN"T open up the party menu.... which, in my case, has ended me up in battle instead of trying to heal by using skill

That and getting the Navi-achievement before I even left the 2nd town (the achievement for asking Gallica for navigation)

Honestly a skill issue, it works fine. You can go in the settings and add more confirmations before doing certain actions though.
