Are you guys playing with Japanese or English voices?

Gotta say some of the voices sound weird as hell in english, like when you have an anime character speaking with a british or Scottish accent.

To be fair, a lot of the characters' names are very European, so I don't know what you expected.

The English VO is some of the best I've heard in a video game. I usually use the dub anyway, but especially in this case I couldn't fathom playing without it.
You say "anime characters", but I judge it by the character's actual in-universe lore, and the characters, even in Japanese, have medieval Europe-inspired names...

When a character looks as I described its patently ridiculous for him to sound like a scottsman, regardless of what he is named, no matter the mental gymnastics you try to apply to it.

English localization sucks btw, what they say in Japanese is different to the translation in quite a few cases.

I’m torn.
It’s the first game where I like both, and apparently Altus often does English voice acting very well.

Overall I prefer Japanese in Japanese games. But the English voice acting is so good. For example English strohl, hulkenberg, Louis, etc are awesome. But I dislike some of the other characters esp when they use the Scottish accent, it sounds a little ridiculous.

Despite the european look, most characters act like Asian and some races are straight out Asian references (elda, eugief and muskari).
