a question about end game

Let just say you finish the game and then can you continue the game in sandbox doing dungeons you missed or rushed ? That still exist? Or even walking in the cities?

No. You finish the game you have clear save. You can start game with clear save and most of your items will carry to NG+.

So if I want to revisit dungeons, do that before the time runs out for final battles/part or not at all. Or in NG+.

Once you beat the game you either reload an earlier save file before going to the final dungeon or you start New Game+. The game ends immediately after the final battle and you can't continue apart from starting NG+

That's a bummer. I'm near end now and seems like there's conflicting details about end game some sites give impression that you can freely explore and do whatever you want. That's one thing I dislike about Persona too because NG+ you need to meet everyone again etc.
